Out For Delivery
Out For Delivery
...is a logistics-focused strategy game about managing truck routes in a high demand, tile-based city. You’ll set waypoints, choose between 2 truck types, and navigate one-way streets to deliver packages before they expire. Each truck has a limited range, and every route costs credits, so efficiency is key.
You can loop routes for ongoing delivery or send a truck just once. If things go wrong, cancel the run and try again. The longer you play, the harder it gets—more packages, tighter deadlines, and denser maps. Plan carefully, because wasted time means lost credits.
Built entirely in Scratch during the GMTK 2025 Game Jam, Out For Delivery is designed to be fast, replayable, and surprisingly tense under pressure, however it has some bugs.
KNOWN QUIRKS
1) If made in just the right fashion, trucks can zoom across the map skipping the driving animation from the last waypoint to the depot, this is called express delivery
2) Sometimes the buyers remorse kicks in, and a demand bubble disappears, but you still get paid, this is because the buyer just loves helping out out delivery people. (for some reason the lone house on grass does it the most?)
3) Sometimes the president of the simulation decides you've been a postmaster too well, and will smite you by giving you 3 seconds of lag (in reality its you making the pathfinding crash...)
4) In the tutorial, sometimes a bubble pops as soon as you enter it but gives you cash, similar to buyers remorse. (unknown why it happens, but its probably from the home screen generating a bubble at the same time you enter)
5) after losing a round (not winning), it doesn't take you to beach but the one you just were on, i.e.: if i just lost a round on desert, after i click the lose screen, i go to the title screen, but on desert, this is not intentional, but looks actually pretty good, maybe better than moving it to that as the whole title screen is on the tile system (the 'play' button is on the same process as the roads!)
6) the game is NEEAAAR finish, there's just 1 thing that makes it not 100% done, I couldn't squeeze the challenges in the time, its soooooo close though.

Honestly it's a bit unclear what to do and music is something I'd recommend, with maybe some ambient sounds and car motor sounds, but cool nonetheless, good job fellow scratcher!
these are just updates, ive added music and fixed the tutorial, I'm going to submit in like 2 hr, but thanks!
Forgot to update the tutorial, but music and level designs are added.
